Concerts

Rector of the Liszt Academy Gábor Farkas and world-renowned baritone Peter Edelmann will be performing Schubert's Winterreise at the Old Academy of Music on 17 October at 6 p.m.

Exactly on the 140th anniversary of Franz Liszt’s death, on 31 July, the Liszt Museum announced its new, autumn matinée season. The museum welcomes audiences every Saturday at 11 a.m. for a unique concert in the Chamber Music Hall of the Old Academy of Music from September.

A museum visit, a guided tour and a mini concert — one package from March.

A new temporary exhibition has opened – as it does every year – in November. It explores the work of Franz Liszt’s friend and chamber partner, the violinist and composer Jenő Hubay.

Four small concerts, two major concerts, four guided tours, three round-table discussions, a film screening, a book launch, and a children’s activity. 40 years. 96 years. Infinite curiosity and affection. These figures give a brief summary of the three days during which we celebrated the anniversary of the Liszt Museum.

The Liszt Museum will be open during the national holiday in August. Admission will be free on 20 August.

In June, members of staff from the Liszt Museum travelled to Paris on a professional visit. During their stay, Director Máté Cselényi, Anna Peternák, Blanka Pászthory and Diána Mátrai visited several cultural institutions with the aim of establishing future collaborations.
