Information on reopening

23 June 2020

We are pleased to announce that the museum is awaiting visitors from the 1st July, according to official opening hours.

However, due to governmental orders during the pandemic preparedness, we are introducing a registration booking system. Please send an email to info [at] lisztmuseum [dot] hu at least one week before the planned visit, indicating the number of visitors, and the day and exact time. Our staff will respond what time you can visit the museum.

The opening hours divided into one-hour periods, 8 visitors will be allowed in the museum in each period: 1-1 person in the entrance room and the dining room, 3-3 people in the study bedroom and the drawing room. Since we do not have any indoor spaces of appropriate size, visitors arriving above the given limit are kindly asked not to stay in the building while waiting for the next timeline. Wearing a mask and using hand fertilizers placed at the ticket office on entering the museum is obligatory. Before planning your visit, please check current information on our website or Facebook page.

Tickets for cancelled concerts bought at our ticket office can be refunded during opening hours, from 15th July until 31st December.

Regulations concerning the entry to Hungary from abroad can be found here. In addition, we highly recommend following central governmental measures, affecting the operation of the museum. We are looking forward to welcoming all those who are interested in the life of Franz Liszt in Budapest and his music.
