Photo exhibition
The photo exhibition L’occhio su Liszt, featuring images from the Liszt Festival in Albano, was open to the public at the Accademia d’Ungheria in Roma [Hungarian Academy in Rome] from 24 February to 24 March.
The exhibition is an example of the years long close cooperation between the Associazione Amici della Musica Cesare De Santis Festival Liszt Albano [Cesare De Santis Music Friends Association Liszt Festival Albano] and Accademia d’Ungheria. The documentary photographs, presented in a creative way, capture moments of the Liszt Festival, now considered the most prestigious and longest-running festival in Italy.
The images tell the story of emotional moments of musical performance: life backstage, the communicative gestures of the musicians, the moment when the audience is immersed in the experience. Even in their silence, the recordings capture the power of moments that have become part of a social life lived intensely around music.
During the event, the short film “Liszt in Albano and the Festival” by Maurizio D’Alessandro and Francesco Russomanno was screened.
The exhibition, which attracted a large audience, was opened by Dr Gábor Kudar, director of the Accademia, Dr Gyöngyi Komlóssy, scientific and cultural secretary of the Accademia and Maurizio D'Alessandro, artistic director of the Liszt Festival in Albano.
