Exactly on the 140th anniversary of Franz Liszt’s death, on 31 July, the Liszt Museum announced its new, autumn matinée season. The museum welcomes audiences every Saturday at 11 a.m. for a unique concert in the Chamber Music Hall of the Old Academy of Music from September.

A new temporary exhibition has opened – as it does every year – in November. It explores the work of Franz Liszt’s friend and chamber partner, the violinist and composer Jenő Hubay.

The Cork School of Music’s Fleischmann Library in Ireland was chosen to be the location for a bronze bust of Franz Liszt, by the distinguished Hungarian sculptress, Katalin Gerő.
